So, this week has been a wild one! Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, I cleaned the house. Rick and Bernie packed all our stuff and loaded it on the moving van. By Wednesday night we were sleeping on the floor, or air mattress and all we had was our suitcases and things to live with for the next two weeks. Plus 3 bags full of Christmas stuff. (luckily we went on the cruise cause that's the big kids main Christmas) No refrigerator. No washer/dryer.
Right now I'm sitting in a laundromat.
I haven't been in a laundromat for years! Family and friends offered their washers, but I just decided to go to the laundromat.
Today I'm painting 2 rooms. Yesterday I washed every baseboard in my whole house. I washed every wall and used a magic eraser on every scuff mark. I washed window sills and the window tracks, and painted 2 walls.
Pete says he's in denial, so he takes the kids around town. So far, one neighbor told me she saw him at target and another neighbor saw him at the mall! It's kind of funny, but the little kids are having fun with dad, and with them gone, I can get stuff done.
We are trying to rent our house out. It's just not a great time to sell. We'll see what happens. I hope anyone that walks through to see it, thinks its the cleanest house they've seen! Anyone want to rent a 10 bedroom house, with a huge backyard? Our house isn't exactly high in demand, but I'm praying for a wonderful good family to come along!
We are renting in Tennessee too, because in 12-24 months (don't you love that year long window?) we are moving to Asia! We are really excited and the older kids would rather just move straight there then live in TN first. I think they are going to love TN.
Anyway, I'm just taking one move at a time! I'm really over just buying a house and living there for 30 years, and I'm so exited to be able to have new life adventures and experiences with pete and my kids.
Just heard a "beep". I better go check the dryers.
